Sessenthil (Thil) sh'Zheshri, 30, is an Andorian shen who serves with the equivalent rank of lieutenant with Andor's Homeworld Security, a branch of the Imperial Guard.

She is about 5'10, of a fit and athletic build, with an androgynous appearance; to a member of a two-gendered species, she could pass either as a masculine female or a feminine male. She wears her hair short. She has an impetuous, temperamental and emotional nature, like many of her people, with an additional impulsive streak. She frequently travels in male garb when traveling off world, passing for a chan or a young thaan. All the same, she has a strong maternal instinct, desiring to conceive and raise more children than she's been fated to have.

Thil was born to parents who lived off world. Her own clan is nearly extinct due to the population crash afflicting Andor. She was brought to Andor at a young age to be matched to her bondmates, and resided at the common Keep of her zh'yi Thanizhesha zh'Zhess and th'se Hravitherav th'Shan. Their ch'te, Hansharev ch'Veileth, joined them a few years later. She was fondest of Therav, whom she looked up to as a sort of big brother; they were close until Therav left for Starfleet Academy, and the two often embarked on long journeys by zabathu together as well as did sparring practice. Therav's thavan Hrisalthalev th'Vorothishria taught young Thil the dueling arts. She became an accomplished rider, hunter and fighter over the years.

She was youngest of the bond, and the bond was not sealed until the four Zhaveys and the Eveste Elders recognized her as old enough. She attempted to rekindle the friendship with Therav, who now saw her as a grown shen and judged it would be inappropriate for them to be alone together. Following an incident involving an admission of more "adult" feelings between the two, Therav went to the Zhaveys to ask that the bond finally be sealed. Even so, the shelthreth did not take place until Therav graduated from the Academy.

Thil and the bond conceived four times - three lost pregnancies and one success, Thravishlev th'Zhess - all while Therav was home on leave.

Thil became known in her own right as a duelist, though her sponsors withdrew their support saying they would not back her until she had produced at least one heir. She was turned away by multiple sponsors for the same reason, all of whom felt it would be morally unconscionable for her to risk her own death before contributing to the world's declining population. It turned out that her bondmate Zhesha had pleaded with the first sponsor for Thil's rejection. Adding insult to injury, Therav agreed that Thil should not embark on a duelist career just yet, to which Thil reacted, "You're not even here most of the time, what does it matter to you?".

Thil joined the Imperial Guard (later transferring into Homeworld Security) at 20. After Shlev's birth, she left Homeworld Security to take up a post with Shan-Zhess Keep, eventually becoming Captain of the Guard, even though she was younger than some of the people she commanded; it is there that she became acquainted with Thinshalrablu th'Zhaath, who was married to Zhesha's zhi.

A rift began to form between the bond and Therav, but they held on for a few years. Thil, who was very fond of him, denied there was a problem between Therav and the other bondmates, for quite a long time. However, she agreed with the bondmates in wishing him to leave Starfleet and put more effort into siring children. At 24, Thil conceived Thravishlev, who would be the bond's only surviving child. A year later, they conceived a zhen, but the pregnancy was lost at late term. At about this time, the Dominion War had broken out, and Therav announced that he intended to stay with Starfleet through the conflict.

Thil did not wish to dissolve the bond, but Therav's zhavey told her that if two did not wish to retain the bond, the whole bond was weakened. She reluctantly went along with Sharev and Zhesha in enacting the Whole Vessel Act and divorcing Therav, deciding that it was for the greater good of their people, and hiding for a long time that she still had feelings for him and wished for a reconciliation.

The bond attempted to find another thaan to take his place, but did not succeed in finding a mate of which the Eveste Elders approved. Years later, they found the middle-aged diplomat Thevarkalev th'Ritva.

Before they could bring him into the union, however, Thil discovered that Zhesha and Sharev had - for the entire time of their bond - conducted a private relationship exclusive of the other two bondmates. Deeply wounded by this betrayal, she announced her wish to leave the bond, but was not granted this wish. A rift began, however, between Thil and the clans of Zhesha and Therav, who placed the blame on Thil for everything that had befallen the bondmates and who felt she had brought dishonor to the clans. She left her job with the Keep, and stalked off.

She begged Therav to return home to attempt to sort out the whole mess, because she couldn't bear to lose Shlev. Therav suspected suspicious activity on the part of the other two mates, and placed tracking devices on the persons of Zhesha and Sharev to find out where it was that they went to on their long trips off world.

The two later were found dead, floating in space, having been thrown out the airlock of an Orion ship.

Thil and Therav were drawn together again, briefly, after the death of the two mates; following a night of intimacy he suggested that they seek another two bondmates, wishing to reconcile. Thil refused, recognizing that she was no longer in love with him. They had both changed too much.

They remain close, but at times are at great odds due to personal differences about the upbringing of their thei. Nonetheless, Thil still felt the need to intrude when she spotted Therav and his crew mate Noelle Connor together; she fears that should he do anything controversial, it would end up affecting her own ability to retain a relationship with Shlev, as Therav is the only reason Thil is still accepted by his clan.

Thil and the bondmate that had been chosen, Kalev th'Ritva, chose another two bondmates, who were also of a low match rating - scientist Senthisharas ch'Zoahri, who was from a broken bond, and artist Onalithithta zh'Lenthar, who was very young and fertile but had more than an acceptable amount of Aenar blood. Thil was immediately smitten with Thithta.

Not long before the bond was consummated, Thil resumed her position with Homeworld Security, and aided Therav's away team in extracting a Romulan scientist from the hands of the True Heirs of Andor.

At last report, Thil and the bond have been granted permission to use Dr. sh'Veileth's experimental fertility therapy.
