She's the daughter of Diziara's mother's oldest sister. Both of her parents are dead. Her mother died in 2355, her father died in 2354. She was one of the few people who openly welcomed Diziara when her family moved to Qo'noS. She's indirectly responsible for making Diziara aware that she was truly a pilot at heart, by arranging for Diziara to take a fly along with her friend Morth.
After Diziara's first boyfriend broke off their relationship, Mara was the one who swooped in and tried to make it all better by taking her away for a weekend of debauchery. They got matching tattoos on their upper right arms, a tribal style sun design, then picked up a pair of guys who were intended to be one night stands, but just couldn't help but wheedling their ways into the girls' lives. Mara and Korth were pretty closely attached by the end of the night, and got married only a little over a year later.
Since getting married, she and Korth started their own shipping company on Qo'noS, which is thriving. They have a son together.
