The daughter of a ranch hand and the cheating wife of a beef farmer, Jenni was riding from a young age, and learning the ways of a ranch life. In high school, she started into the professional rodeo circuit, and started to make a name for herself Bull and Bronc riding.
When one of her friends started going on about how awesome it was to have a man in starfleet, Jenni was naturally curious, and asked her friend to have her man bring along some friends next time he visited. The only one who was persuaded to come was Spiegel, and Jenni was all over him like a fly on a horse's rear end, trying to present herself so as to best keep his attention. She decided, within twenty-four hours of meeting him, she was going to marry him, and made with the active pursuit. It only took about six months to win him over, and she planned out the wedding of her dreams, made him cut off contact with the most likely source of competition for his attention, and started to plan out the rest of her life and retirement from the rodeo circuit.
He didn't cooperate with her plans, liking starships better than good solid earth, and shipped her back to earth, while staying at his duty assignment on the USS Francisco, after only three months of marriage. She figured he'd come around eventually, and just satisfied herself by starting work on their ranch home, getting the occasional action from the various ranch hands she hired to help out, and was utterly shocked when for their half year anniversary, he had divorce papers served to her. Furious that he'd dare throw such a wrench into her plans for a nice settled life, she put up a rip roaring fight throughout the year it took to finalize the divorce. She eventually picked out the best looking of her various ranch hands, and settled into a quiet life in the middle of Texas.
